Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia Receives Honorary Doctorate From Utrecht University

Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia was conferred an honorary doctorate from Utrecht University in The Netherlands on March 27, in recognition of her pioneering work in regenerative medicine and her role as an advocate for diversity and women in science. The honorary doctorate was presented during the university’s 381st anniversary celebration; Dr. Bhatia gave a lecture the next day about her work in regenerative medicine and her platform for diversity and inclusion. 

Established in 1636, Utrecht University ranks among the top 100 universities in the world on multiple independent assessments. It is home to more than 30,0000 students and 550 professors, and it counts 12 Nobel Prize winners among its faculty and alumni.
