A native Bostonian, I received my Bachelor's degree in biology from Bates College in 1991. For the past 15 years I have worked in both academia and industry researching the molecular mechanisms of cancer, congestive heart failure, and diabetes. While maintaining an interest in the biology of these fields, I have decided to move more towards a career with management responsibilities. Thus, in the summer of 2006 I joined the LMRT as lab manager. My activities here include EHS training and supervision, budget maintenance, oversight of the nanotoxicity core, rodent hepatocyte preparation, and general upkeep of the laboratory.
