LRMT UROP Angela Zhang wins award in BE Znaty-Merck Undergraduate Research Competition

Angela Zhang, MIT class of 2015 and Bhatia Lab UROP was selected for second prize in the 2015 MIT BE Znaty-Merck Undergraduate Research Competition for her work alongside graduate student Justin Lo on siRNA delivery to pancreatic cancer. 


The Znaty-Merck prize was established to honor outstanding achievement in long-term independent research projects by undergraduate students in the Department of Biological Engineering.  Winners are selected based on the significance, originality, and potential for impact of their research.  The prize is named in memory of Maryam Znaty, who worked in the laboratory of Professor Gerald Wogan and whose family established a Fund in her name, and in recognition of support from Merck Inc.
